“I had the privilege of observing Sifu Herbert Maier as he instructed a class. I was immediately struck by the efficiency and intricate mechanics and art of Wing Chun. In the short period of time a novice was deflecting and striking at the same time and without any apparent degree of exertion. I know that there is a vast amount of information to be presented in the future, however, Wing Chun appears almost intuitive and natural in its motions and mechanics.
The other major aspect of the class was the instruction capability and style of Sifu Maier. He was precise in his explanations and was extremely patient with all of the students. He is informative without being strict and condescending and this atmosphere created a great learning environment. His ability to present new material that was in one aspect repetitive and yet showed new applications and usages was refreshing as well illustrating a profound knowledge of Wing Chun.
By the end of the class I was hooked and anxiously awaiting the next experience with great anticipation!”
